Description

This handloom Kanchipuram silk saree, meticulously woven on traditional pit looms by skilled artisans, celebrates classic Kanjivaram heritage with its rich violet–purple body that shifts softly into a lighter lavender hue towards the top, lending a regal yet contemporary charm. The saree is adorned with intricate gold zari work, combining temple-inspired geometry, floral vines, and auspicious bird motifs that make it a statement piece for weddings, vrathams, and festive receptions.

Handloom Craftsmanship
Resham Body: Pure mulberry silk in a vibrant purple tone, tightly woven for a smooth, lustrous fall, with the body featuring an all-over textured jacquard pattern that catches light in waves, ideal for long ceremonial drapes. The weave density and shimmer indicate high-quality handloom construction, giving the saree a graceful, structured silhouette that holds pleats beautifully during long functions.

Zari Border: Broad golden zari borders run along both edges, showcasing alternating floral vines, circular buttis, and diamond grids framed in korvai-style contrast purple that highlights the gold patterns. The lower border is especially grand, with large diamond panels enclosing stylized peacock motifs surrounded by lotus-like petals and traditional geometric columns, designed to stand out prominently in the front pleats.

Pallu Design: The pallu opens into a lavish expanse of dense gold zari checks and circular buttis laid out in a rhythmic lattice pattern, bordered by a row of stylized floral creepers that frame the end of the drape. This rich, continuous zari layout gives a cascading effect when the pallu is left free over the shoulder, making it perfect for Deepavali aartis, temple visits, and bridal or muhurtam looks where a grand finish is desired.
