Mayura
Description
This handloom Kanchipuram silk saree, meticulously woven on traditional pit looms by skilled artisans, embodies the timeless legacy of Kanjivaram heritage with its deep maroon rasam body, a color revered for prosperity and marital sanctity in South Indian customs. Scattered gracefully across the pure mulberry resham are gold zari rudraksha buttis, symbolizing Lord Shiva's divine beads for spiritual safeguarding, alongside peacock feather (mayil kannu) motifs evoking Krishna's grace and nature's splendor. The broad golden zari floral border, featuring intricate kodi visiri creepers and blooming lotuses via korvai interlocking technique, frames the pallu enveloped in cascading heavy zari stripes, a pinnacle of bridal grandeur for poojas and festivals.
